Rainbow Bridge Pet Memorial Opens Saturday at Fort Myers' Alliance for the Arts

Fort Myers will soon have a permanent place for residents to honor their beloved animal companions. The Rainbow Bridge Pet Memorial officially opens this Saturday, September 20, 2026, at the Alliance for the Arts, located at 10091 McGregor Blvd.

This new sanctuary provides a peaceful space for Southwest Florida residents to remember pets who have passed. The memorial features engraved pavers and plaques, allowing for personalized tributes to furry, feathered, or scaled family members.

The project began with a local pet advocate and artist, who conceived the idea after experiencing personal loss. Their vision was to create a lasting tribute where the community could grieve and celebrate the lives of their pets.

The opening ceremony this Saturday will include remarks from community leaders and a blessing of the memorial. Future plans for the site include additional seating and landscaping to enhance the tranquil atmosphere.
