LCEC Breaks Ground on West Cape Coral Service Center

LCEC and GCM Contracting Solutions will break ground Wednesday on a new West Cape Coral Service Center at 3251 SW 20th Ave, next to the West Substation.

The 12,000-square-foot, two-story facility will house LCEC operations. The groundbreaking ceremony runs from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. May 20, 2026, and will include LCEC and GCM representatives, city and county officials, and community leaders.

LCEC built the center to serve Cape Coral's growing population. The facility will reduce response times for service calls and improve storm restoration capabilities across Southwest Florida.

LCEC will present a check to Future Forestry during the event to distribute environmental funding. LCEC employees will direct parking at the site.

Media inquiries: Shannon Williamson, LCEC, 239-265-2621; R. Sharpe, GCM Contracting, 954-881-6989.
