Cape Coral High School Athletics will induct multi-sport athlete David Pasquale and basketball standout Jason Hopf into its 2027 Hall of Fame class. Both inductees will be recognized at halftime of the Seahawks' varsity football game against Immokalee High School on Oct. 16, 2026.

The Hall of Fame honors graduates, coaches and contributors for athletic distinction, character and impact on the school community.

David Pasquale, Class of 2008, earned 11 varsity letters in football, track and basketball. A four-year starting quarterback, he posted a 17-6 record, throwing for 4,072 yards and 45 touchdowns. Pasquale set a school record with a 99-yard touchdown pass in 2007. He earned Southwest Florida Player of the Year honors and was a Class 5A All-State selection. Pasquale received a full scholarship to the University of Toledo, where he played in three bowl games and set school records for running back receiving production. He also earned National Football Foundation Post-Graduate Scholar-Athlete recognition.

Jason Hopf, Class of 1994, holds Seahawks basketball program records for single-game assists (18), single-season assists (376) and career assists (530). He also made 161 career three-pointers. Hopf earned two-time All-Conference and All-Southwest Florida selections. He anchored back-to-back District and Conference Championship teams in 1993 and 1994, contributing to a combined 58-8 record over those two seasons. In 1994, he led the team to Cape Coral High School's first No. 1 state ranking in any sport. He played basketball at Santa Fe Community College and Kennesaw State University before returning to Cape Coral to coach from 1998 to 2001.

The community is invited to celebrate the achievements of these two athletes during the varsity football game.
