Encompass Health Names CEO for New Cape Coral Rehabilitation Hospital
Encompass Health Corp. (NYSE: EHC) has named Patrick Dillahunty as CEO of its future rehabilitation hospital in Cape Coral, Florida, which is expected to open in January 2025.
Encompass Health Corp. (NYSE: EHC) has named Patrick Dillahunty as CEO of its future rehabilitation hospital in Cape Coral, Florida, which is expected to open in January 2025. "Patrick is a seasoned leader with a wealth of experience in healthcare management, and we are confident that he will be a valuable asset to our team,” said Jerry Gray, President of Encompass Health’s Southeast Region. “Under his leadership, we are confident that the future rehabilitation hospital in Cape Coral will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in the community.” The 50-bed hospital, which is under construction at 1718 N.E. Pine Island Road, will provide specialized rehabilitation services to patients recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries, including strokes and other neurological disorders, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions. The hospital will offer 24-hour nursing care, physical, occupational and speech therapies and physician services. Dillahunty most recently served as market CEO for Curahealth Hospitals, a long-term acute care hospital system with hospitals in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Prior to that, he served as CEO for PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Corpus Christi in Corpus Christi, Texas. He also held multiple positions at Encompass Health, including CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Texarkana in Texarkana, Texas, and vice president of operations at Encompass Health’s Southwest Region office. Dillahunty earned his bachelor’s degree in healthcare management and his master’s degree in healthcare administration at Stephen F. Austin State University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
