Cape Canaveral residents can review the compensation structure for local police officers. The starting salary for officers is $55,160.60.

Experienced officers receive a 3% annual pay increase for up to five years of service. An officer with five years on the force could see a significant increase in pay based on tenure.

Overtime is compensated at a time-and-one-half rate. Officers may choose to receive this pay directly or as compensatory time off.

Each year, officers receive 100 hours of holiday pay, calculated at their standard hourly rate and disbursed on the second payday in September.

For non-emergency inquiries, the department can be reached at 321-639-7620. The department is located at 1226 West King Street, Cocoa, FL 32922.
