Jim Marshall Farms Donates Wheelchair Swing to Canastota

Jim Marshall Farms donated a wheelchair-accessible swing to Spencer Street Playground in Canastota. The Village Department of Public Works installed the equipment at the playground adjacent to the municipal pool.

The addition serves children with mobility challenges. A pool chair lift, installed previously, allows swimmers with mobility limitations to enter the water safely.

Spencer Street Playground opens at sunrise and closes at 9 p.m. daily year-round at no charge. Recent improvements funded by the Village of Canastota, Town of Lenox, and CNY Children's Foundation include new playground equipment, pavilions, sidewalks, picnic tables, security lighting, and benches.
