Canal Winchester Approves $1.2M Road Maintenance Plan
Canal Winchester's Board of Trustees approved $1.23 million for road maintenance across the township in 2026, targeting 68 roads for various repair levels.
The Franklin County Township Resurfacing Program will fund $1.17 million in work. Nineteen roads will receive full resurfacing with stress-absorbing membrane interlayer, a waterproof treatment that prevents water infiltration and extends pavement life. Those roads will also get spot curb replacement and rejuvenating treatment. Thirty-nine roads will have crack sealing, and 10 roads will receive rejuvenating treatment only.
The township allocated an additional $58,500 for fog seal application, curb repair, and berm treatment outside the county program.
Work will begin once weather permits and continue through the construction season. The township's public works department has published the complete list of affected roads.
