Eight Camden County Veterans Honored With Military Medals

Eight Camden County veterans receive military service medals aboard Battleship New Jersey

Commissioner Colleen Bianco Bezich honored eight veterans Wednesday aboard the Battleship New Jersey, presenting them with Camden County military service medals for their service in the Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marine Corps.

The veterans, from Cherry Hill, Atco, Blackwood, Collingswood, and Gloucester Township, received medals recognizing service in Korea, Vietnam, World War II, and the War on Terrorism.

The honorees were: Raymond W. Adkisson of Cherry Hill, Air Force; Michael H. Brown of Atco, Army; Anthony J. Costigan of Blackwood, Navy; Joseph F. Gould of Blackwood, Navy; Donald A. Hill of Collingswood, Air Force; Robert C. Holmes of Blackwood, Marine Corps; Edwin A. Johnson of Gloucester Township, Army; and Lorren L. Kay of Cherry Hill, Navy.

"These ceremonies recognize the courage, service, and sacrifice these veterans gave to our country," said Bianco Bezich, Camden County liaison to Veterans Affairs.
