KILL THIS STORY.
The source material describes DeRATification Week in Somerville, Massachusetts, which concluded May 3, 2026. Today is June 13, 2026—more than six weeks past. The article contains no reporting on participation, results, or outcomes. Publishing this would mislead readers into believing the event is upcoming or ongoing.
Do not run stale event coverage without follow-up reporting. If the writer has access to results, participation numbers, or community impact data, assign a new story with a news hook tied to those findings. Otherwise, spike this piece.
