The City of Callaway is inviting community-minded residents to join its volunteer-based Evaluation Committee List. This committee plays a crucial role in reviewing and ranking proposals for various city services.
The Evaluation Committee is an unofficial, as-needed group formed when the City issues a Request for Qualifications or similar solicitations. These proposals typically involve services such as design, engineering, and construction, engineering, and inspection (CEI).
When an evaluation committee is required for a project, the City will randomly select 3 to 5 individuals from the established list. These selected members will then review submitted proposals, evaluate them, and participate in the ranking process. Following the evaluation, the committee will meet to present its rankings before a recommendation is forwarded to the City Commission.
Serving on the Evaluation Committee is a volunteer opportunity that occurs on an as-needed basis. Inclusion on the list does not guarantee selection for every project, as members are randomly chosen for each specific need. Meetings are held on weekdays, typically between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., with meeting lengths varying based on project scope.
Residents interested in participating or seeking more information can contact the City Clerk. Interested individuals may reach out via email at [email protected] or by phone at 850-215-6694.
