Callaway rescinds precautionary boil water notice

Callaway has lifted its precautionary boil water notice for areas including Lacosta Avenue, JH Crews, and Williams Way after satisfactory water testing.

CALLAWAY – Residents in the Callaway Water System can now resume normal water usage following the rescission of a precautionary boil water notice. The notice, issued on Monday, September 14, 2026, affected homes on Lacosta Avenue, JH Crews, and Williams Way.

The City of Callaway announced the rescission after satisfactory bacteriological test results confirmed the water is safe for consumption. Residents are advised to run their faucets for one minute before using the water for any purpose.
