As we look forward to another exciting month at the Port St. Lucie Historical Society and Museum, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for your continued support and dedication to preserving our city's rich heritage. In January, we had the honor of hosting a presentation on the history of the Elliott Museum, which celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. The presentation was well-received, and we thank our guest speaker, for sharing their knowledge and insights with us. (Correction from January Newsletter- speaker was John Smith). Looking ahead, we have a number of exciting events and programs planned for the coming months. I encourage you to check out the Programs and Events section of this newsletter for more information. Sincerely, Elizabeth Pantazis, President Featured Article Port St Lucie Historical Society Meeting February 13, 2024 1:00pm Guest Speaker- Robert Stone Topic- Florida Architecture in the 1920’s Robert Stone grew up in Miami, Florida, and he started collecting Florida books in the 1970’s. His field gradually narrowed to Florida architecture and architects, mostly from the 1920’s. He is a local speaker with a wealth of knowledge and stories about the history of Florida.
