Callaway Boil Water Notice Rescinded

Callaway residents are no longer under a precautionary boil water notice. The city rescinded the notice Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2026, at 4:05 p.m., confirming the restoration and successful testing of the water system. The notice, issued Sept. 11, followed an emergency water outage that began the evening of Sept. 9.

The outage was first reported Sept. 9 at 3:51 p.m. A larger outage began at 7:30 p.m. that same evening. The city had advised residents to boil water for consumption starting Sept. 11 at 1:05 p.m.

The cause of the emergency water outage has not been released.
