Callaway City Commission candidates to face voters at forum tonight

Callaway residents seeking to learn more about the candidates vying for seats on the City Commission will have an opportunity to do so tonight. The League of Women Voters of Bay County is hosting a Candidates’ Forum for the Ward 1 and Ward 2 races, a timely event as the community looks ahead to growth and development.

The forum is scheduled to take place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 15, at the Callaway Arts & Conference Center, located at 500 Callaway Parkway. This event is free and open to the public, offering a chance for voters, many of whom may be familiar with the center from local events and gatherings, to hear directly from those seeking to represent them.

The League of Women Voters of Bay County organizes such forums to provide non-partisan information to voters. The City of Callaway itself does not endorse or oppose any candidate for public office.

This event serves as a crucial opportunity for residents, from the neighborhoods surrounding the Arts & Conference Center to the city’s growing business districts, to engage with the candidates, understand their platforms, and make informed decisions in the upcoming elections. The League of Women Voters is a non-profit, civic organization dedicated to encouraging informed and active participation in government.
