Central Bridge (Schoharie County): Sally Ann Anderson 84, formerly of Pine Hill Road (Grosvenor’s Corners Road), passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Evergreen Commons Rehab and Nursing in East Greenbush after a long illness.Sally Ann was born April 22, 1942 in Albany, NY, a daughter of Harry M. and Elizabeth C. (Eckerson) Baker. She graduated from the former Cobleskill High School, class of 1960 and later, received an associate degree from SUNY Cobleskill.From 1965 to 2005 Sally Ann owned and operated The Steno Shop (secretarial services), in Central Bridge,NY. She also sold advertising for the Times Journal and Mountain Eagle Newspapers, worked as anAdministrative Assistant for SUNY Cobleskill, was a court stenographer and legal secretary, and operated Anderson’s Country Store in Central Bridge. She was a longtime member of the Central Bridge Civic Association, serving as Secretary and President. She served on the Schoharie County Chamber of Commerce Board, the Community Hospital of Schoharie County Board, serving as President and Trustee, the Grosvenor’s Corners Cemetery Association, serving as Secretary, the Cobleskill Fair Board of Directors, and the Schoharie County Maple Festival Committee. Sally Ann was the first woman member of the Cobleskill Fair Board. She served on the Schoharie Land Trust Board of Directors, Schoharie County Planning Board, and the Town of Esperance Planning and Zoning Board of Appeals. Her hobbies included spending time outdoors, riding horses, traveling, animals, and time with her grandson’s.Survivors include: her daughters; Melanie (Jeffrey) Largeteau of Delanson and Betsy Hughes of Virginia Beach, VA, two grandsons; Joshua D. Hoover (Mercedes Flanders), and Logan J. Largeteau (Sarah), two great grandchildren: Axl Hoover, and Sofia Largetau, step-great-grandchildren; Coltyn & Kylee Dykes, along with other family members; Wendy (Mike) Hoover of Schoharie, Frank (Amanda) Nissen of Schenectady, Eva Marie (Wade) Gugino and children of Holland, Michigan. Sally Ann was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Betty Lou Nissen of Delanson.A period of visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th at the Langan Funeral Home, 327 Main St., Schoharie from 10-11AM followed by a memorial service. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family at Grosvenor’s Corners Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sally Ann to the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley, PO Box 40, Howes Cave, NY 12092 OR any Alzheimer’s Association.
