Residents should complete all preparations quickly, as dangerous conditions are expected to begin Friday evening and continue through Saturday morning.
Strong tropical storm force winds, with peak forecasts of 45-60 mph and gusts up to 85 mph, are anticipated. Significant damage to property is possible, including roofing, siding, and mobile homes. Rivers and streams may overflow, and many structures could be flooded. Heed all flood watches and warnings; failure to take action could result in serious injury or loss of life.
Additionally, the NWS reports a favorable situation for several tornadoes, with a few potentially intense. Those in manufactured homes or on boats should relocate to safe shelter.
