Flagler County Commander Selected for FBI National Academy
Detention Services Commander Nolie St. Fleur will attend the 299th session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, starting in July 2026. Fewer than 1% of law enforcement officers receive invitations to the program during their careers.
St. Fleur joined the Flagler County Sheriff's Office in August 2006 as a detention deputy. He now oversees inmate care and custody at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. He also serves on FCSO's Honor Guard team and works as a Creole interpreter.
Sheriff Rick Staly called the selection a significant honor. "This is a first for the Court and Detention Services Division," Staly said. "Until now, no one from that division had been invited by the FBI to attend the academy."
The 10-week program, established in 1935, trains law enforcement managers nominated for demonstrated leadership. The FBI covers all costs for travel, training, meals, and lodging.
St. Fleur will join Sheriff Staly, Chief Deputy Barile, and Chief Welker as current FCSO employees who have graduated from the FBI National Academy.
