City Council to hold public hearing on vacation rental ordinance

The Brookings City Council scheduled a public hearing for April 22, 2024, to consider Ordinance 24-O-825, which proposes amendments to the municipal code concerning vacation rental regulations. The hearing took place at 7:00 PM at the Chetco Community Public Library, located at 405 Alder Street.

Ordinance 24-O-825 specifically addresses Section 17.60.040 of the Brookings Municipal Code. Residents interested in the details of the proposed changes could review copies of the ordinance at the City of Brookings City Hall, 898 Elk Drive, during regular business hours. The notice, dated April 8, 2024, and signed by City Recorder Karen Quimby, invited interested parties to attend the hearing and offer testimony, either written or oral. Written testimony was required to be submitted to the City Recorder before the hearing commenced.
