Henderson Facilities Limited Operations Due to COVID-19

Due to elevated COVID-19 cases in Clark County, the following changes will occur at City facilities and amenities effective Monday, January 3, 2022. City Hall, Municipal Court, and the Development Services Center will remain open by appointment only. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment. Recreation centers will operate at 50% capacity following all current State and County mandates. All City programs and classes will continue as scheduled with all current State and County mandates in place. The Henderson Libraries will operate under their guidelines. We encourage everyone to follow the CDC guidelines to help protect themselves and others, including getting vaccinated, wearing a mask in public indoor settings, and practicing social distancing.

A Letter From Your Councilwoman April 30, 2026   Dear Neighbors,   After passing our e-bike and e-scooter ordinance in August 2025 to improve rider safety, we’re continuing to spread the word!    That's why I'm excited to partner with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Northwest Area Command for their next First Tuesday event May 5 at 5:30 p.m. at the Centennial Hills Volleyball Courts. We loved hearing the type of development projects you want to see! Together, we're supporting a Ward 6 designed with input from neighbors.  Celebrating Our Schools I presented a proclamation at Kitty Ward’s Purple Star Ceremony, which recognizes schools that go the extra mile to support military families with resources and outreach. I’m proud to have such as exceptional school in Ward 6 that makes our community a welcoming place for our military neighbors! Connecting With Northwest Women I attended the Wellness and Mindset Conference hosted by Coach Rose Peterson, supporting with Pinkbox donuts, bagels and coffee. It was a full panel of powerhouse women who shared tips to prioritize physical and emotional self-care.  Cleaning Our Parks What better way to celebrate Earth Day than a park cleanup? I had the best time volunteering with Get Outdoors Nevada and NV Energy to plant trees, build planter boxes and pick weeds at Floyd Lamb Park.  Competing In The Corporate Challenge I loved competing with our city of Las Vegas running and volleyball teams at the Corporate Challenge. I'm grateful for the camaraderie as part of the city of Las Vegas family — winning every game or not! Organizing Pickleball Tournaments Our Skye Canyon Pickleball Tournament with Southern Nevada Pickleball was a smash hit! Neighbors brought their A-game and showed up ready to serve with a full tournament and 25 neighbors joining the beginners' clinic.    We also hosted a pickleball tournament at Trilogy Sunstone. For both of these tournaments, we gave out free pickleball-themed swag. More pickleball events to come!
