Local Faith Community Seeks Dedicated Youth Minister

A local faith community seeks a dedicated individual to serve as its Youth Minister. The role requires a passion for working with young people and a commitment to their spiritual growth.

The Youth Minister will plan and implement programs and activities for Brandon's youth, including retreats, service projects and social events. The position also involves guiding youth leaders and recruiting and training adult volunteers.

Effective communication with youth and their families is essential. The Youth Minister will collaborate with parish staff to integrate youth ministry into the broader faith community. Staying current with developments in youth ministry and adolescent spirituality, and creating a safe and supportive environment for faith exploration, are also expected.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Theology, Youth Ministry or a related field. Previous experience in youth ministry or a similar capacity is required. A strong understanding of Catholic theology and doctrine, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is essential. The ability to work effectively with youth, parents and volunteers, along with strong organizational and time-management skills, are key qualifications.
