Maricopa County Heat Relief Network Urgently Seeks Water, Volunteers as Temps Soar Past 100 Degrees
With triple-digit temperatures already here in Maricopa County, the Maricopa County Human Services Department is asking for community help to protect vulnerable neighbors from heat-related illness. The Heat Relief Network, coordinated by the Human Services Department, relies on donations and volunteers to operate refuge locations and hydration stations throughout the Valley of the Sun.
Residents can donate unopened water bottles and electrolyte packets at various donation locations across the county. Online contributions are also accepted through JustServe.org/HeatRelief2024.
The Human Services Department is partnering with the Arizona Faith Network and JustServe to coordinate volunteer efforts and donations. This collaboration ensures the Heat Relief Network has the necessary resources to keep people safe this summer.
