Daily Gospel Reading & Reflection

Click here for daily readings My pastor once explained the difference between the Sadducees and the Pharisees through some clever wordplay on their title. Father quipped, “They are sad you see because they do not believe in the resurrection.”  In today’s Gospel, those sad men try to trip Jesus up with a question they believe is perfectly crafted to trick Him into proving their point of view and discrediting anything else He might have to say.   Jesus’ response gently, yet firmly, exposes the core issue: “You are greatly mistaken.” Why? Because they know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God. That line should give us pause. How often do we do the same—reduce God to what makes sense to us, limit Him to our understanding, or quietly doubt His ability to bring life where we see only finality? I don’t think the Sadducees were actually curious about heaven. They were trying to prove it didn’t exist. Before we wag a judgmental finger in their direction, let’s be honest — we do this too. We approach Jesus with questions and statements that sound holy but are secretly designed to keep Him safely contained within our understanding. As we cling to a desperate but misguided desire for our will to be done rather than His. God is not the God of the dead, Jesus says. He is the God of the living. That means resurrection isn’t just something we wait for someday. It’s something God is doing right now: reviving tired faith, breathing hope into discouragement, and reminding us that nothing—nor anyone—is too far gone to be beyond His merciful reach. The good news? God’s power isn’t limited by our doubts — thank goodness — because some days, our faith shows up with more questions than confidence. More hype than humility. Yet, we know He sees right through our insistence on managing every single outcome and is patiently loving us through it all! Kiddie Academy Celebrates Educators During National Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week is always a meaningful moment across our system. It’s a chance to pause, reflect, and celebrate the educators who show up each day with care, patience, and dedication. This year, Kiddie Academy proudly showed what it means to truly value educators – coming together as a national community to celebrate teachers through heartfelt notes, joyful celebrations, and shared moments of appreciation that reflect the culture of care at the heart of our brand. Below is a look at how Teacher Appreciation Week came to life across the Kiddie Academy community: Why Teacher Appreciation Matters While Teacher Appreciation Week lasts just a few days, the impact of feeling valued can last far longer. Educators play a critical role in children’s development – building trust, encouraging curiosity, and creating environments where children feel safe, capable, and ready to learn. Taking time to recognize this work isn’t just a celebration; it’s a reminder of the strong partnership between teachers and families that supports every child’s success. Thank You to Our Educators To every teacher across our system: thank you for the care, energy, and commitment you bring to your classrooms each day. Your work shapes children’s confidence, supports families, and strengthens the communities you serve. Teacher Appreciation Week may come once a year, but our gratitude extends far beyond it.

Kiddie Academy Reynoldsburg Volunteers Support Baltimore Food Security Initiative

Supporting the communities we serve is an essential part of who we are. That commitment came to life through our recent volunteer initiative with Moveable Feast, an organization dedicated to providing medically tailored meals to individuals experiencing food insecurity and chronic illness. On May 29, 10 volunteers spent the morning working side by side in Moveable Feast’s Baltimore kitchen. The team contributed to critical daily operations that directly support local families, including: Packaging 1,159 trays Preparing 467 meals Bagging 1,717 meals Assembling 164 deliveries Together, these efforts helped ensure that hundreds of individuals received the nutritious meals they depend on. This experience highlights how team members use Volunteer Time Off (VTO) to give back in meaningful ways. By stepping away from day-to-day responsibilities and into the community, employees contribute their time and energy where it matters most. Efforts like this not only support important work within our local communities but also strengthen our collective commitment to making a lasting, positive impact.

Kiddie Academy System Celebrates Earth Day with National Art Contest

Earth Day 2026 was a meaningful opportunity for Academies nationwide to turn environmental awareness into hands-on learning. Through Earth Day activities ranging from recycled art projects to planting and wildlife care, classrooms transformed big ideas like sustainability, responsibility, and stewardship into fun, memorable experiences. The Kiddie Academy Earth Day Contest The Kiddie Academy Earth Day Art Contest tasks Academies with creating a large-scale, collaborative art installation that showcases children’s understanding and commitment to protecting the Earth. The theme for 2026 is “The Wonders of Our World” and encourages children of all age groups to spark curiosity and explore the many amazing landscapes, environments, and phenomena found across our planet. 2026 Earth Day Winner: Kiddie Academy of East Setauket We’re proud to recognize Kiddie Academy of East Setauket as the 2026 Earth Day winner, receiving a $1,000 donation to the National Park Foundation. This Academy brought Earth Day to life by helping children explore the wonders of the world while learning why caring for the planet matters. With families contributing more than 200 photos from every continent, students collaborated to recreate each continent using recycled materials. From infants through school‑age children, every classroom played a role, resulting in a vibrant display that celebrates global connection, creativity, and environmental stewardship. The completed project now fills the Academy’s main hallway, serving as a lasting reminder of their Earth Day experience. Standout Earth Day Activities Across Kiddie Academy In addition to our winner, several Academies stood out for their creativity, inclusivity, and educational depth: Kiddie Academy of Almaden Valley Children of all ages participated in developmentally appropriate recycled art projects using a wide variety of materials.
