The Citizens Police Academy is designed to give the public a working knowledge of the Nolensville Police Department. The instructors are police officers, supervisors, and civilian employees of the Nolensville Police Department. The course is designed to open the lines of communication between the community and the police department. It is our hope that this course will allow citizens to view the Police Department operations and the problems the Police Department faces on a day-to-day basis."

"Williamson County Animal Center Hosts Clear the Shelter Event on August 17 The Williamson County Animal Center (WCAC) is participating in the national Clear the Shelters event on Saturday, August 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. WCAC aims to find loving homes for as many animals as possible. Adoption fees will be reduced to $20 for dogs and cats. Standard adoption procedures will still apply. Potential adopters are encouraged to submit an application ahead of time at www.adoptwcac.org. All animals will be up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped. “This is a great opportunity to help our animals find loving homes,” said WCAC Director Ondrea Leatherman. “We hope the community will come out and support our shelter.” Clear the Shelters is a nationwide pet adoption event led by NBCUniversal Local, part of NBCUniversal owned television stations. Since its inception in 2015, Clear the Shelters has helped more than 860,000 pets find new homes. The Williamson County Animal Center is located at 106 Claude Yates Dr., Franklin, TN. Adoptable animals can be viewed at www.adoptwcac.org or at the center during normal business hours, Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m."
