Bonita Springs divers can pursue a prestigious certification and win prizes through the PADI Master Scuba Diver Challenge. The challenge, which began earlier this year, encourages divers to advance their education and gain experience through various PADI courses, potentially exploring the unique underwater ecosystems near Barefoot Beach.

To enter, individuals must visit the PADI Master Scuba Diver Challenge Entry Page online and complete an entry form. Applicants should share their motivation for becoming a Master Scuba Diver in a brief written statement.

Divers can earn additional entries by achieving specific PADI milestones. Earning the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating awards 10 extra entries. Becoming a PADI Rescue Diver provides 5 entries, while completing the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification adds 3 entries. Each completed PADI Specialty Diver course earns 2 entries, and finishing the PADI Open Water Diver course provides 1 entry. Participants also receive 5 entries for joining PADI Club and 2 entries for purchasing a PADI Certification Card. Taking the Save the Ocean Pledge earns 1 entry.
