Bonita Springs Coastal Cleanup Day Sept. 19

Bonita Springs residents can help preserve the local coastline by participating in International Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The annual event also offers a chance for students to earn volunteer hours.

The City of Bonita Springs distributed cleanup supplies on Friday, September 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at City Hall, 9101 Bonita Beach Road SE. Participants who picked up supplies signed a waiver and received gloves, a bag, a safety vest and a map of potential cleanup areas.

A dumpster will be available for volunteers to deposit collected trash. Organizers encourage participants to clean up beaches and waterways to maintain the beauty of Lee County.
