Margaret McShea November 2, 1934 - June 10, 2024 Margaret McShea, 89, of Bonita Springs, FL passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024. Formerly of Rockville Centre, NY, she had been a Bonita Springs resident since 1995. Margaret was born November 2, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (née Murray) Clarke. She was a graduate of St. Agnes Academic High School in College Point, NY, Class of 1952 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from St. John’s University, Class of 1956. Margaret was a career educator, teaching primary grades for over 30 years in the Rockville Centre School District. She was a parishioner at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Joseph McShea; her beloved children, Kathleen (Thomas) Palamara of Lloyd Harbor, NY, Eileen (Brian) McLoughlin of Bonita Springs, FL, and Joseph (Nancy) McShea of Garden City, NY; sister, Patricia (late Jim) Gill of Garden City, NY; and cherished grandchildren, James, Brian, Thomas, William, Joseph, Brendan, Ryan, and Caroline. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Clarke and sister, Maureen Clarke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 28360 Beaumont Road, Bonita Springs. Burial will follow at Palm Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation at nationalbreastcancer.org.
