Bonita Springs residents can celebrate Halloween with the city's free "Happy Haunts" immersive walk, running from Oct. 22 to Oct. 31. The family-friendly event transforms downtown Bonita Springs into a festive spectacle featuring Halloween music, decorations, video projections and lighting designed for photos.
The decorations and music will illuminate nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The walk offers a way for families to enjoy downtown while supporting local businesses. The "Happy Haunts" walk does not include candy.
The Bonita Springs Downtown Alliance will host its "Trick or Treat on Old 41" on Halloween night, Saturday, Oct. 31, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Old 41 will temporarily close between Wilson Street and Dean Street from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. for this event. The "Happy Haunts" walk will remain open.
The city also encourages downtown businesses to decorate their storefronts. A judging for the best business decorations is scheduled for Oct. 22, with winners announced at the Nov. 4 City Council meeting.
