HOLMES COUNTY, FL – Residents in Bonifay and Ponce De Leon are under an immediate Tropical Storm Warning, issued October 8 at 8:01 AM EDT by the National Weather Service (NWS) Tallahassee. This warning remains effective until 4:15 PM UTC today.
Immediate action is required to prepare for hazardous winds, potential major flooding, and the possibility of several tornadoes. Winds are forecast to reach 15-25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph, with a potential for sustained winds of 39 to 57 mph. Prepare for limited wind damage, including damage to lightweight structures and broken tree limbs. Complete all outdoor preparations now.
