William "Billy" Stone, Boca Raton Resident, Remembered

William “Billy” Stone, a Boca Raton resident and businessman, died July 11, 2026, at 80. Stone’s life was shaped by immigration, education, entrepreneurship and family.

Born Nov. 2, 1945, in the USSR, Stone immigrated to Canada at age 3 with his family. He earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto and a law degree from Queen’s University. After practicing law in Toronto for several years, Stone moved into the corporate sector. His entrepreneurial work eventually brought him to Boca Raton, where he established a business that was a source of pride for his family.

Stone is remembered for his generosity and humor, bringing “light and laughter to everyone who knew him.” He shared 57 years of marriage with his wife, Sandy Stone.

He leaves behind his children, Aaron Stone, Jennifer Stone and Corina. His grandchildren are Olivia Morris, Ryan Morris and Lulu Bregman. He is also survived by his brother Martin and Martin’s wife, Lucy Grinstein. His parents, Regina and Chaim Grinstein, preceded him in death.
