FAU's Queen Conch Mobile Lab Brings Hands-On Marine Science to Florida Schools

Florida Atlantic University's Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute and the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College recently debuted the Queen Conch Mobile Laboratory. This state-of-the-art, custom-built trailer brings marine science and conservation education directly to K-12 students across Florida, with a special focus on the iconic queen conch.

The mobile lab aims to inspire the next generation of marine scientists and foster a deeper understanding of ocean conservation among young Floridians. The project received a significant boost from a $1 million appropriation by the Florida legislature.
