FAU Women's Basketball Team Officially Begins 2026-27 Preseason Practice in Boca Raton

The Florida Atlantic University (FAU) women's basketball team officially began its 2026-27 season with the start of preseason practice in Boca Raton. The Owls hit Abessinio Court at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena to kick off their preparations for the upcoming basketball season.

This early start marks the official commencement of the team's preseason activities, signaling the beginning of a new athletic year for FAU women's basketball. Residents can anticipate a full season of collegiate basketball action right here in Boca Raton.

The Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena, a central hub for FAU athletics, will host many of the team's games throughout the season. The arena provides a dedicated space for the Owls to train and compete, fostering a strong home-court advantage.

While the team has just begun official practice, their schedule already includes several key matchups. The Owls will face Miami on November 2, followed by a home game against Kennesaw State on November 7 at 2 p.m. Other notable games include South Alabama on November 11 at 1 p.m., and an away game at FGCU on November 14 at 2 p.m.

Further games in November include Western Kentucky on November 27 at 2 p.m. and Buffalo on November 28 at 2 p.m. The December schedule features games at FIU on December 5, against Stony Brook on December 8 at 11 a.m., at UCF on December 15, and home games against North Florida on December 19 at 2 p.m. and Kent State on December 20 at 2 p.m.
