FAU Swimming & Diving Opens 2026-27 Season with Academic Honors

The Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Swimming & Diving team kicks off its 2026-27 season today, September 18, against Indian River at 2 p.m. The Owls enter the new season with strong leadership and a recent history of academic excellence.

Five captains will lead the team for the upcoming season. This leadership group guides a program that consistently achieves in the classroom. Eight Owls swimmers earned Scholar All-America Individual Honors, marking 10 consecutive semesters of recognition for the team. Courtney Alblas and Laureyssens received honors as Scholar-Athletes of the Year.

Beyond the pool, the FAU athletic department held Florida Atlantic Giving Day yesterday, Thursday, September 17. The Swim & Dive program also announced an Alumni Weekend, fostering connections with former athletes.

Looking ahead, Roe will represent Team USA at the 2026 FISU America Games. Fans can find various videos on the FAU Sports website, including a 'Hometown Team w/ Riley Hersh' segment and an 'S&D | Senior Day Hype Video', showcasing team spirit and individual stories.
