Boca Raton's Park(ing) Day Transforms Mizner Park

Boca Raton will transform two parking spaces into a temporary park this Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, for its annual Park(ing) Day event. Organized by Boca Raton Mobility and the City’s Traffic Division in partnership with Strong Towns Boca Raton, the event will take place in front of Sloan’s in Mizner Park.

The pop-up park will feature seating, games and interactive art, demonstrating alternative uses for street parking. Park(ing) Day is a global initiative encouraging communities to reimagine parking spaces as areas for social interaction and green spaces to promote safer, environmentally friendly, and pedestrian-oriented streets.

The family-friendly event highlights Boca Raton’s commitment to a connected, lively, and sustainable urban environment. It runs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Organizers will proceed with the event during light rain. The event will be canceled if lightning is detected.
