Boca Raton city offices will close Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, for the Columbus Day holiday. City services resume Tuesday, Oct. 13.
The closure affects all city offices, including those handling permits and administrative tasks. Residents needing to conduct city business must wait until Tuesday.
Sanitation services will also be affected. No trash or recycling collection will occur Monday, Oct. 12. Monday routes will be collected Tuesday, Oct. 13. Tuesday's collection will shift to Wednesday, Oct. 14. Residents can check their collection schedule on the city's website using the Sanitation Collection Map.
For sanitation schedule reminders, residents can sign up for text alerts by texting "SanitationAlert" (no space) to 38276 or on the city's website. The Recycle Coach App is also available for recycling guidance.
City parks, beaches and playgrounds will remain open Monday, Oct. 12, under regular hours. Recreational facilities will also operate on their standard schedules.
