Govindarajan Thittanimuttam (Dr. T. S. Govindarajan) passed away on March 26, just 5 days shy of his 100th birthday. He was a chemist by profession and headed a research and development lab in Atul, Gujarat, India after finishing his education in Annamalainagar University, Tamil Nadu, India.He lived by his tenets of simple living and high thinking throughout his life. He had a sense of humor which was infectious. He cared for his seniors, loved his wife, Saroja, immensely and doted on his children. He was in regular contact with his extended family until the very end. He was loved and respected by every community he was a part of.His residence and spiritual community for the final 17 years of his prolific life was Peace Village, a retreat center for the spiritual organization, the Brahma Kumaris. He was fondly referred to as “Dada” (grandfather) by one and all. He gave and received love, care, and camaraderie from all the residents and visitors of this community.He leaves behind a legacy of love, duty, discipline, and caring, which is a balm for the world we live in. He is survived by his children, Kalarani and Venkatesh, daughter-in-law, Leena, and grandchildren Rohin and Rahul, besides the countless relatives and innumerable friends he made till the very last day of his life.He knew how to live and he knew how to die. He will be missed, even as his life continues to inspire future generations.Services were held on March 28, 2026.
