Schoharie (Schoharie County): Alton R. “Robin” Oliver 78, of Terrace Mt. Road, Schoharie, NY passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the Ellis Hospital after a brief illness.Robin was born April 21, 1947 in Schoharie, NY, a son of Stuart and Leitha (Pierce) Oliver. He attended Schoharie School and later began working for the Town of Schoharie Highway Department as a Truck Driver and Laborer. He later worked at Coleco’s in Amsterdam and finally, KSI Window’s in Cobleskill where he retired. He was a member of the Cobleskill Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Robin also enjoyed raising and tending to his chickens, hunting, and long country drives with his beloved Barb.Survivors include: his wife, Barbara (Kennedy) Oliver whom he married November 21, 1969, his daughter, Heidi (Scott) Liddle of Cobleskill, his son, William (Courtney) Oliver of Patria, NY, his grandchildren; Seth (Chelsea), Makia, and Liam along with 1 great-grandson, his brother Joel of Schoharie, 4 nephews and 1 niece. Robin was predeceased by his parents and his siblings; Lorraine “Raine” Rossi, Yvonne “Bonnie” Meese and Stuart “Mickey” Oliver.There will be no formal services as per Mr. Olivers’ wishes.The Langan Funeral Home of Schoharie and the Robert A. Guffin Funeral Home of Cobleskill are assisting the Oliver family.

Obituary: Judith Goss of Lewistown

Judith L Goss, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. She was born on February 17, 1946 in Lewistown to the late Ora and Helen (Fisher) Sunderland.She was a 1964 graduate of Chief Logan High School. She married her high schoolsweetheart, Larry Goss on September 30, 1967. She attended Hagerstown MedicalSecretarial School and worked in Medical Records at Lewistown Hospital and later assecretary for Dr. Joseph Brown Jr. She was also Former Tax Collector for Decatur TownshipIn addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her in-laws Guy and Lena Goss,and niece Erika Bell.She is survived by her husband, Larry L Goss; three children Jason Goss(Carey),Erin Leister (Ben), Megan Tate (Lester); Nine grandchildren, Michael Tate (Katrina),Hunter Goss (Taylor), Madison Tate, Allie Aldinger (Ethan), Nick Goss, Gage Leister (Emily),Chase Leister, RJ and Benjamin Link; three great-grandchildren, Paden, Emery, and Carson andtwo more great-grandchildren on the way; three sisters, Pamela Eberman (Ken), NinaAngney (Charles), and Dana Bell (Jeff) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.She was a member of Maitland Church of the Brethren. Judy spent her early years as a 4-Hmember, dairy princess, and riding horses with the Kauffman girls. She then became adevoted farm wife and mother, enjoying her life on the farm where she was thebookkeeper for many years. Her biggest accomplishment and joy in life was her family,especially her grandchildren. She loved being the host of the grandchildren's sleepovers formany years. She loved attending all of their sporting and life events.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday April 20, 2026 at Maitland Church ofthe Brethren, 315 Crossover Drive, Lewistown, with Pastor Jeannine Leister officiating. There will be a time of visitation held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.Per her wishes, her body was donated to Humanity Gift Registry to support furthermedical research.In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made in Judy’s honor to Mifflin County 4-H, 152 E.Market St. Suite 100, Lewistown PA, 17044.

Jane Arlene Goss, 92, Lewistown

Jane Arlene (DeArment) Goss, 92, of Juniata Terrace, Lewistown, passed away on June 4, 2026, after a brief stay at William Penn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Born on November 5, 1934, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Michlavich) DeArment. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul W. Goss, who passed away in 1989, and her son, Paul R. Goss.Jane leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Hendricks of McVeytown, widow of John Hendricks, who passed away in 2022; her son, Rod Goss of Thompsontown and his companion, Barbara Muggio of Camp Hill; her granddaughter, Samantha Weyant and her husband, Tyler, of Celebration, Florida; and her grandsons, Jarrod Goss and Kyle Goss, both of Lancaster.A 1952 graduate of Lewistown High School, Jane was remembered by her teachers for her beautiful cursive penmanship, a talent she carried with pride throughout her life. Her exceptional handwriting earned her numerous awards and recognition during her school years, reflecting the care, precision, and dedication that became hallmarks of her character. Following graduation, she began her career as an office assistant for Dr. Elenore Aurand and later worked for Dr. Alan Gordon, where she assisted with eye examinations and various office responsibilities. Her dedication, professionalism, and kind demeanor left a lasting impression on those she served.Above all else, Jane was devoted to her family. She possessed a gentle spirit, a warm heart, and a smile that could brighten any room. Her caring nature, quiet strength, and unwavering love for those around her will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. The memories she created and the love she shared will remain a lasting comfort to her family and friends.The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice 365, Angels on Call, Caregivers of America, and the compassionate caregivers at William Penn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the exceptional care and support they provided during Jane's final days.In accordance with her wishes, a private memorial service will be held by the family, with interment and additional services to be announced at a later date."The Lord bless thee, and keep thee." Daniel W. Foxx Sr., 62, of Siglerville

Daniel W. Foxx, Sr., 62, of Siglerville, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 1, 2026.Born May 11, 1964, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late John T. Foxx and Barbara (Goss) Foxx, who survives.In addition to his mother, Danny is survived by his devoted wife, DeAnn (Baker) Foxx; his son, Daniel W. Foxx, Jr., of Lewistown; his stepdaughters, Paige Shaposky and her husband, John, of Milroy, and Macy Kuhns, of Lewistown; his beloved grandchildren, Maddison, Julian, Rowin, and Conner; and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.Danny was employed for many years as a Maintenance Mechanic at Trinity Plastics in Lewistown. A proud member of the Kishacoquillas High School Class of 1982, he distinguished himself as an exceptional wrestler, becoming the first wrestler in school history to capture a district championship. Following graduation, he furthered his education at Penn Tech in Williamsport, where he earned an associate degree in electrical technology.He found great joy in life's simple pleasures—exploring the mountains in his side-by-side, taking scenic rides with his beloved Bernese Mountain Dog, and, above all, spending time with those he loved. Known for his kind heart, mechanical expertise, and willingness to help anyone in need, Danny never hesitated to lend a hand or share his knowledge. He will be remembered as a loyal friend, a devoted family man, and someone whose generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew him.Most importantly, Danny's family finds comfort and peace in knowing that he recently made a commitment to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
