Website Sign In Home Departments Public Works Engineering Stormwater Engineering Stormwater Engineering County Line Road Sediment Reduction Project The County Line Road Sediment Reduction project is located in the Econfina Creek Watershed approximately 20 miles north of Panama City in Bay County, Florida (N30.5674 W85.4177). This project is funded in part by a Section 319 Nonpoint Source Management Program implementation grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency through an agreement/contract with the Nonpoint Source Management Section of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. To reduce sediment impacts to the Econfina Creek Watershed, the existing County Line Road dirt roadbed for approximately 1.6 miles will by stabilized with open grade pervious asphalt. In addition, the project will include installation of adequate roadside shoulders and swales for the treatment and conveyance of stormwater runoff. Project Goals Improve water quality in the Econfina Creek Watershed. Stabilize approximately 1.6 miles of existing dirt roadway. Provide a high level of customer service and communication to the public. Project Timeline The project survey, design, permitting and construction is scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2027. Project monitoring, public education and final report is scheduled for delivery by September 30, 2027 Additional Information Questions, problems or general information can be received at the Public Works Engineering Division at 850-248-8301.

Advocate for individuals and families navigating the behavioral health system by ensuring access to services, resolving concerns, and promoting accountability and quality in mental health and substance use care. Key Objectives Key Objectives Listen to concerns from individuals who receive publicly funded behavioral health services. Help resolve complaints and barriers to treatment and support. Connect individuals to appropriate care or resources. Prompt responsiveness within behavioral health systems. Identify systemic issues and recommend improvements in service delivery. Concerns and Barriers The Office of Children's Behavioral Health Ombudsman serves as a central point for receiving concerns on behalf of children and adolescents with behavioral health disorders who are receiving services. The Office uses this information to help improve the mental health treatment and support system for children and adolescents. The key to overcoming obstacles is building resilience. Finding ways to adapt with a healthy mindset in challenging situations can increase resiliency in individuals. The following tips will assist in coping with a disaster or traumatic event. Process the event in your own time: Re-establish a routine and remember, feelings can come and go in waves. You and your family may be moody and withdrawn at certain times, frozen with grief and fear at other times. There’s no “right” or “wrong” way to feel after a traumatic event so don’t try to dictate what you/your family should be thinking or feeling. Connect with others What communities do you belong to and how can you sustain contact with a sense of balance? Asking yourself these questions and finding small ways to build connections can go a long way in fostering resilience. Avoid consuming too much media or reliving the trauma: Repetitious thinking or viewing horrific images over and over can overwhelm your nervous system, making it harder to think clearly. Partake in activities that keep your mind occupied (read, watch a movie, cook, play with your kids), so you’re not dedicating all your energy and attention to the traumatic event. Don’t rush decisions: Making big life decisions about home, work, or family while traumatized will only increase the stress in your life.
