Union 20-Year Growth Plan: Public Input Workshop June 18
The Town of Union will hold its first public workshop June 18 at 5 p.m. at Highland Park Recreation Center to gather community input on a comprehensive development plan.
The planning process, funded by a New York State Smart Growth grant, runs through summer. MRB Group of Rochester leads the consulting team. A steering committee of residents, business owners, elected officials, and town staff will guide development of a vision, goals, and action plan for the next two decades.
The June 18 workshop uses a drop-in format with stations where residents can comment on vision statements, planning principles, and policy areas. The town will also launch a community survey with the Village of Johnson City, which is completing its own comprehensive plan.
Residents can find more information at www.townofunion.com.
