Kinsey Bradstreet and Lillie Suffia advanced with their documentary "Where Magic Meets Media: The Conversation That Redefined HIV Awareness." Vander Barnes, Rye Peterson, and Curtis Scherfenberg earned a spot with their website "Hanging, Heroes, and Hollywood: Authors of the Vigilantes Reshape the West."

They also won the History of Science and Technology Award, a $175 prize from the American Computer & Robotics Museum for projects addressing significant milestones in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
The students completed original research projects using primary and secondary sources, presenting findings through exhibits, documentaries, websites, papers, or performances.
