Craig Corman Sworn in as Beverly Hills Mayor
Craig A. Corman took the oath as mayor of Beverly Hills on Tuesday, succeeding Sharona R. Nazarian at the City Council's reorganization meeting. Mary N. Wells was elevated to vice mayor. Both positions carry one-year terms and are selected by council colleagues at the annual meeting.
Corman, an attorney with degrees from Stanford University and the University of Michigan Law School, joined the City Council in 2024. He previously served on the Beverly Hills Planning Commission from 2009 to 2016 and the Cultural Heritage Commission from 2019 to 2024.
Wells, also elected to the council in 2024, previously served as a member and president of the Beverly Hills Unified School Board of Education. She holds a degree in business administration from the University of Southern California, with a specialization in finance and accounting. She worked in brand and account management at the Walt Disney Company and construction management with Beezley Management.
