At 331 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over western Birmingham, moving southeast at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Birmingham, Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Mountain Brook, Fairfield, Pleasant Grove, Midfield, Adamsville, Brighton, Lipscomb, Mulga, Birmingham Fairgounds, B.j.c.c., Edgewater, Five Points South, Ensley, Legion Field, U.A.B. Campus, Samford University, and Birmingham Southern College.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 65 between mile markers 254 and 264. Interstate 59 between mile markers 117 and 127. US Highway 280 between mile markers 1 and 2.
