Several employees from Coös County were honored this month at the New Hampshire Association of Counties (NHAC) 50th Anniversary Conference. The event, held at the Mount Washington Hotel, also marked the association's record-breaking awards ceremony, with over 45 recipients recognized statewide.

The NHAC celebrates five decades of service, collaboration, and advocacy for New Hampshire's ten counties. This year's annual awards ceremony saw the highest number of award winners in the organization's history.

Four Coös County employees received accolades, nominated by their peers for their dedication to the county and its residents. Mark Brady was named County Administrator of the Year. Rose Hibbard, Accounts Payable Manager in the Finance Department, received the Coös County Employee of the Year award. Keith Couture, Dietary Director at the Berlin Nursing Home, was honored as Coös County Long-Term Care Employee of the Year.

Additionally, a team from the Coös County Nursing Hospital was recognized as Coös County Team of the Year. The award acknowledged the collective efforts of Louise Belanger (Nursing Home Administrator), Ashley Hodge (Director of Nursing), Christine Graves (Assistant Director of Nursing), Michaela Fournier (Director of Quality), Sage Rodrigue (Director of Staff Development), Nancy Hughes (Director of Social Services), Tori Smart (Director of Housekeeping/Laundry), Kara Marquis (Director of Activities), Dennis Bouvier (Plant Manager), Patrick Kennett (Dietary Director).

The NHAC's 50th anniversary and awards ceremony highlight the ongoing commitment of county employees across the state to public service.
