Marilyn K. Wiles, 98, of Holly's Place in Hagerstown, MD died Wednesday, May 27, 2026.Born in Hagerstown, MD on December 11,1927, she was the daughter of the late Preston B. and Lelia May Bartgis Carl.She attended Hagerstown High School. In her younger years, she worked as a clerk typist for Western Maryland Railroad. Her last place of employment was at Washington County Hospital in the (kitchen?) department.She was a member of The Manor Church of the Brethren.During her younger years, Marilyn was always on the go, whether she was taking scenic bus trips or enjoying a peaceful outing at Pen Mar Park. A true animal lover with a soft spot for cats, she also had a sharp mind and loved staying up-to-date with the latest news.Marilyn is survived by one son, Richard O. Wiles (wife, Virginia); two granddaughters: Becky Sue Zimmerman (husband, Terry), Stacy Ann Musick (husband, Shawn); three great-granddaughters: Chloe Musick, Emma Musick, and Shelby Zimmerman.In addition to her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by brother: Preston B. "Sonny" Carl; and sister Eileen "J" Carl.Per Marilyn's request, no services will be held at this time.
