South Korean Tech Companies Plan $518 Billion Chip Investment

South Korea's major technology companies committed to investing $518 billion in new semiconductor manufacturing facilities to meet growing demand from artificial intelligence applications.

Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and other chipmakers plan to construct or expand fabrication plants, known as fabs, across South Korea. The investment underscores the companies' strategy to increase chip production capacity as AI adoption accelerates globally.
