UCS Hires Counselor via Iris Telehealth Partnership
United Counseling Service hired Jacquelynn Gomez, a licensed professional counselor, to expand its outpatient mental health team through a new partnership with Iris Telehealth.
Gomez holds a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. She treats youth and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance use challenges, and life transitions. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques, and plans to offer eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy for trauma recovery.
The Iris Telehealth partnership expands mental health services across Bennington County through secure video sessions.
Residents can access services by calling 802-442-5491 or visiting UCS at 100 Ledge Hill Drive in Bennington. Walk-in hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (last appointment at 3 p.m.), and noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday (last appointment at 4:30 p.m.). Virtual appointments are available. UCS operates a 24-hour emergency mental health line at 802-442-5491.
