Mosquito aerial spraying notice - Horry County SC.Gov Notice of aerial mosquito spraying Mosquito aerial spraying notice Back Infrastructure & Regulation Posted On: 9/17/2026 12:01:38 PM Updated On: 9/17/2026 12:06:59 PM 1 Notice of aerial mosquito spraying Notice of Aerial Spraying Horry County Mosquito Control will be conducting aerial spraying Monday, September 21, 2026, as long as the weather permits. Spraying will start 2 hours prior to sunset and continue for 2 hours after sunset. Spraying locations on this flight include: Harvey Rd. Hwy 348 Old Wilson Rd. EJ Dr. In the event of rain, the spraying will be rescheduled to Tuesday, September 22, 2026. This event will be in addition to the aerial spraying that is happening on Thursday, September 17, 2026. The chemicals used for mosquito control spraying are approved by the EPA and SCDPR , they pose minimal risk to humans or animals. Individuals with asthma or other respiratory illnesses may wish to stay indoors and close windows and doors during spraying. In addition, homegrown fruits and vegetables should be washed, scrubbed, and/or peeled before eating. To help keep our local honeybee population safe, beekeepers are urged to contact Horry County Stormwater to identify the location of their colonies.
