Panama City Beach residents in a specific area can now resume normal water usage following the rescission of a precautionary boil water notice. The notice, which had been in effect for several streets, was lifted after a water line repair was completed and subsequent testing confirmed the water is safe to drink.
The affected streets included all of Gulf View Drive, Coral Avenue, Sunset Avenue, Hilltop Avenue, Pinetree Drive, Dolphin Drive, and Sea Breeze Drive, stretching from Front Beach Road to Panama City Beach Parkway. Additionally, addresses 101 through 123 Palm Beach Drive were included in the notice.
The precautionary boil water notice was issued as a safety measure while crews worked to repair a damaged water line. Such notices are standard procedure to protect public health from potential contamination during water system disruptions.
