CALLAWAY – Residents on North Comet Avenue between Cherry Street and Lois Street will experience a planned water outage on Monday, September 21, 2026. The disruption is scheduled to begin around 8:00 a.m. and is expected to last until approximately 6:00 p.m.
The outage is necessary for City crews to connect the existing water main on N. Comet Avenue to a newly installed water main on Cherry Street. This work is a crucial step in upgrading the city's water infrastructure.
Following the restoration of water service, affected customers will be placed under a Precautionary Boil Water Notice. Further information regarding the notice, including its duration and rescission, will be provided by the city.
