The Governor established Judicial Screening Committees to evaluate the qualifications of candidates for appointment or designation to judicial office throughout New York State, and to recommend to the Governor those persons who are highly qualified to hold judicial office.

The Governor established Judicial Screening Committees to evaluate the qualifications of candidates for appointment or designation to judicial office throughout New York State, and to recommend to the Governor those persons who are highly qualified to hold judicial office. The New York State Judicial Screening Committees continuously accepts applications for the following positions: Additional Justices of the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First, Second, Third, and Fourth Departments Applicants must be elected New York State Supreme Court Justices and reside in New York State. Judge of the New York State Court of Claims Applicants must reside in New York State, be admitted to practice law in New York for at least ten years, and be attorneys in good standing. Interim Supreme Court Justice – for sitting non-Supreme Court judges reaching the age of 70 this calendar year Sitting judges who will reach the age of 70 in the coming calendar year and wish to continue to serve may seek an Interim Supreme Court Justice appointment by the Governor, with the consent of the New York State Senate to become eligible for Certification by the Administrative Board of the Courts. Applicants should submit the requisite paperwork by March 1st of the calendar year they reach the age of 70. Wineglass Marathon Traffic Restrictions

The Town of Erwin would like to remind residents and motorists that traffic modifications will be in effect for the Wineglass Marathon on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Traffic restrictions in Erwin include: State Route 415 (Victory Highway) from Robert Dann Drive to Meads Creek Road Eastbound lane closed from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Westbound lane open to vehicle traffic No entering or exiting Victory Highway at Robert Dann Drive from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Expect delays on Victory Highway from Main Street to the Village of Painted Post line during the race. Motorists are encouraged to avoid Victory Highway between Meads Creek Road and Craig Park Road from 7:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wineglass Race Series information can be found HERE: https://www.wineglassmarathon.com/ Thank you for your cooperation in helping make the Wineglass Marathon a safe and successful event for all.

The purpose of this meeting will be to present the findings of the 2024 Water Study, addressing current and future water supply needs for the Town of Erwin and Village of Painted Post. We encourage all residents to attend to learn more about the water study findings.
