Bartlesville Approves Police Contract & Trail Project

The Bartlesville City Council approved a police union contract, accepted a $300,000 state grant for trail expansion and rezoned 15 acres for a senior housing development at its recent meeting.
City Attorney Jess Kane presented the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 117 contract for fiscal year 2026-27. The agreement grants police officers a 2.5% cost-of-living adjustment and 2.5% merit increase, matching raises approved for other city employees. The contract also updates longevity incentives to align Bartlesville police pay with peer cities.
The council accepted $300,000 in state funding under Oklahoma's Recreational Trails Program. The city will combine the grant with existing capital funds from its half-cent sales tax to build a pedestrian bridge over Butler Creek near Sunset Boulevard, extending the Pathfinder Parkway system into northwestern neighborhoods.
A.D. Parker Development, LLC received approval to rezone approximately 15 acres west of SE Newport Drive and SE Mission Drive. The developer plans a two-phase project: 48 single-family homes marketed toward seniors in phase one, followed by 14 additional homes in phase two on the currently vacant property near an Aldi grocery store.
